Educating Our Community

With almost 100 years of serving families through one of life’s most difficult events, we understand the strain and complications families face and all of the steps involved in the funeral planning process. As a way to give back, we offer to share our knowledge with our community through seminars, workshops, presentations, and in-home gatherings.

If you are like most, funeral planning probably isn’t a process that you are very familiar with. Experts say that most people have the mentality of a 10-year old when it comes to dealing with death and funeral arrangements due to the state of grief that they find themselves in and the fact that it is simply not a task we have to do very often, if ever at all. At Mt. Scott Funeral Home we take our years of experience and expertise to educate our community so that they can be more prepared when they are faced with the death of a loved one.

At Mt. Scott funeral Home we believe that knowledge is power, and our hope is to help take the uneasy feelings surrounding these topics away. Our presentations are informative, fun, and interactive. We always bring prizes and treats. We can offer our expertise to any group or organization. We have spoken at church events, all levels of care facilities, hospitals, book groups, businesses, luncheons, and with smaller groups at in-home gatherings.
