As a third generation owner and Funeral Director, Andrea is carrying on the Mt. Scott family tradition that began in the 1920’s. Andrea believes in continuing the values and professionalism that her grandfather, Edward White, and her father, Dennis White lived by. At Mt. Scott we believe in the “Golden Rule” standard of treating all families with the professionalism, compassion and integrity we would want our families to receive.
Keith graduated from Los Angeles College of Mortuary Science in 1974. He worked as a funeral director and embalmer in California for over 15 years. Keith moved to Portland in 1990 and continued working in the mortuary industry before joining the staff at Mt. Scott Funeral Home in 1998. Keith serves as our Manager.
Dennis began working in the funeral industry in 1981 with his father in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1991 he moved to Oregon and in 1997 joined the Mt. Scott family as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Dennis is a graduate of the Mt. Hood Community College of Mortuary Science in Gresham, Oregon.
Funeral Director/Pre-Planning Specialist
Rebecca graduated from Mt. Hood Community College department of Mortuary Science in 2002. Starting as an apprentice in 2000, and working through school at Mt. Scott Funeral Home, she has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer with Mt. Scott Funeral Home since 2002. Rebecca is also a licensed insurance representative helping families with pre-planning funeral arrangements as well.
Lynn has been an office manager in the Funeral/Cemetery industry since March of 1998. Lynn enjoys camping, reading, riding quads and dune bugging at the Oregon Dunes and beaches. Lynn especially loves spending time with her family & friends. Lynn joined the Mt. Scott Funeral Home family in January 2017, as the office manager.
Matthew was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He has worked in the Funeral Home/Cemetery field since 2001 and joined Mt. Scott Funeral Home in 2006 as the bookkeeper.
Alex has been with Mt. Scott Funeral Home since 2014. She worked as an intern through school, and after graduating from the Mt. Hood Community College Mortuary Science program in 2016 she started as our apprentice. In 2017, Alex became a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Driven by a desire to help others, she always felt the funeral industry was her calling. In her free time Alex enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her friends, family and cat.
Apprentice Funeral Director
Clayton Hoffman is 21 years old and has been in the funeral industry off and on since the age of 16. He graduated from Mt. Hood Community College in June of 2017 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Funeral Service.
Apprentice Funeral Director
Danielle Burke graduated from Mt. Hood Community College Mortuary Science Program in 2016. She then started her apprenticeship here at Mt. Scott Funeral Home in February of 2017 after having her second daughter. Danielle is expecting her third child early January of 2018. Besides having children Danielle loves to paint and craft, but mostly enjoys those rare moments of silence.
Dane is a current student at Mt Hood Community College, studying to become a licensed funeral director. He worked at his local funeral home in Idaho for a little over a year before moving to Oregon in 2016. Dane has worked with us since the summer of 2016 as a student intern, and hopes to become an apprentice with us after he finishes school.
Stacey is currently a second year student in the Funeral Services Program at Mt. Hood Community College. She joined Mt. Scott Funeral Home in July of 2017 as an intern. Stacey will graduate from the program in June 2018 and will continue her pursuit to become a funeral director and embalmer.
