9/27/1918 – 4/27/2017
Gaylen was born in Albany, Oregon to a big family, and spent his childhood working on the farm. He met his wife, Yola, when they both worked at Thompson Flour Mill. They were married 73 1/2 years. Gaylen served in the U.S Navy, Seabees in WWII. He was stationed in Okinawa where he met a life long friend, Luther Stafford.
Gaylen had a home, a family, a successful career driving trucks for Safeway for 35 years, and a long retirement.
He loved to bowl, to garden, and spend time playing cards and working puzzles.
He was an amazing and special man. We are going to miss him so much and are so grateful for the time we got to be with him.
Your forever girls,
Gail, Judy, & Carole
